Terms of Use
Last updated: October 17, 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Turan Mural (Kazakhstan), the operator of Qolqanat — a personal AI assistant for iPhone and Android with chat, voice calls, memory, tasks, schedules, personal finance notes, small web apps and team meetings. By using Qolqanat you accept them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
The app was previously published as “Shymyr”. That name now belongs to our separate CRM product; the app continues as Qolqanat under these terms.
1. Who may use Qolqanat
You must be at least 16. You sign in with your phone number and a one-time code delivered over WhatsApp; the account belongs to whoever controls that number, so keep it under your control. One person per account.
2. What the assistant is — and is not
- Qolqanat’s answers and actions are generated by artificial intelligence. They can be wrong, incomplete or out of date. Check anything important before you rely on it.
- It is not a doctor, a lawyer, an accountant or a financial adviser, and nothing it says is professional advice.
- When it acts for you — creates a task, schedules a call, writes to a connected service — it does so on your instruction and on your behalf. Actions that spend your money always ask for your confirmation first.
- The small web apps it builds for you are generated content; use them at your own discretion.
3. Your content and connected services
What you send and what the assistant produces for you remains yours. You give us the permission needed to store and process it so that the service can work, including sending it to the AI providers named in the Privacy Policy.
If you connect a third-party service, you confirm that the account is yours and that you are allowed to use it this way. That service’s own terms continue to apply to you.
4. Subscriptions purchased in the app
- What is sold. Every account includes one assistant (“agent”) free of charge. Additional agent slots are available as auto-renewable subscriptions purchased through the App Store on iPhone or Google Play on Android: “+1 agent” and “+5 agents”.
- Period and price. Each subscription lasts one month. The price is shown in the app before you buy, in your local currency, as set in the store where you purchase it.
- Renewal. For App Store purchases, payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically for the same period and price unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends. For Google Play purchases, payment is processed through your Google Play account and the monthly subscription renews automatically unless cancelled before renewal, under the terms shown by Google Play.
- Managing and cancelling. You manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions), or from Settings → Plan in the app. For Google Play purchases, open Google Play → profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions and select the subscription to cancel. Deleting your Qolqanat account does not cancel a subscription.
- Restoring. If you reinstall the app or sign in on a new device, use “Restore purchases” on the subscription screen.
- When it ends. Agents you already created keep working; you will not be able to create more than your allowance until you subscribe again.
- Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple under its policies. For Google Play purchases, Google Play’s refund rules apply.
5. Voice calls with your assistant
Calls with your assistant are recorded and transcribed so that you can replay them and so that the assistant can act on what was said. Do not use calls to record another person without their knowledge. Calls are not an emergency service.
6. Team meetings
Qolqanat includes audio and video meetings for you and the people you invite.
- Recording and transcription. The microphone audio of each participant is recorded, transcribed and summarised by AI, and the agreed action items are turned into tasks. Video and shared screens are not recorded. The app shows a recording indicator for the whole meeting.
- Consent. Before joining, every participant is told the meeting is recorded and must agree. By joining you consent to being recorded and transcribed. If you do not consent, do not join, or leave.
- If you are the host, you are responsible for the meeting: for having the right to invite the people you invite, for telling them it is recorded where the law requires more than the in-app notice, and for what you do with the summary and tasks. You decide who is responsible for each task.
- Who sees what. Every participant receives the summary and the tasks assigned to them. The host sees all tasks. Summaries may contain mistakes — read them before you rely on them.
- Conduct. Do not use meetings for anything unlawful, to harass or threaten anyone, to share sexual content involving minors or other illegal material, or to record people covertly. You can report a participant or a meeting from the meeting menu or at turan@shymyr-ai.kz; we review reports and may remove content and suspend accounts.
- Screen sharing shows the other participants whatever is on your screen, including notifications. Share with care.
7. Acceptable use
Do not use Qolqanat to break the law, to harm others, to generate or spread illegal content, to attack or overload the service or anyone else’s systems, to get around its technical limits, or to build a competing product from its output. We may suspend or close accounts that do.
8. Availability and changes
We work to keep Qolqanat available, but it depends on third-party providers and may be interrupted, changed or discontinued. We may change these terms; when a change is material we will tell you in the app, and continuing to use the service means you accept it.
9. Ending your use
You can stop at any time and delete your account in the app (sidebar → your profile → Delete account); what is deleted is described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or end access for a serious or repeated breach of these terms.
10. Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for decisions made on the basis of AI output, or for the acts of third-party services you connect; our total liability is limited to what you paid for the service in the three months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights the law does not allow to be limited.
11. Law
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Disputes are settled by negotiation first and, failing that, by the courts of Kazakhstan. For App Store purchases, Apple’s own terms also apply between you and Apple; for Google Play purchases, Google’s terms apply between you and Google.
